The company has been environmentally considerate since its beginning in 1995.  That's even before it was fashionable!  How green?  Here are a few things we do already.  We are always looking for new ways to reduce our carbon footprint and welcome your suggestions and ideas!

SHIPPING BOXES:
We round up used shipping boxes and add our "It's not pretty, but it's recycled" stickers.  Newer boxes have recycled content and/or are re-used.  Box filler is recycled materials.

Many of our boxes are re-used so many times we put stickers on them to explain why they look so bad... it's so bad it's good. It was a little embarrassing at first... but the stickers make it fine and hopefully inspired others to recycle with the PLEASE RECYCLE message.

PRODUCTS:
Since 1922, MOEN Bells of Norway have been made out of recycled bullet casings (spent cartridges) from Norwegian military practice ranges... from bullets to bells!

Trophy bells can be used as cheering bells (what can you do with a medal?)  Promotional bells can be used lots of times!  Thunder sticks get tossed (Bessie doesn't like thunder sticks).

PAPER:
We use recycled paper for shipping filler and office use.  In the office, we use both sides and go "paper-less" as much as possible.  Paper trash is recycled.  Confidential papers are shredded first, then recycled.

PLASTIC:
We avoid plastic when possible and recycle what we do use.  Instead of buying bottled water, we have a built-in water filter.

BESSIE's DREAM CAR:
An electric car charged by solar panels is THE dream vehicle!  Once a car manufacturer comes up with one that is more environmentally and cost effective than the 1996 Volvo station wagon (gets 27-32MPG), we'll also get solar panels to run it!  Right now our electric bills are so low, solar panels don't make sense yet.
